Can’t believe a year has flown by! Met this little sweetie when she was just a tiny thing around three months. She was the perfect little snuggly baby and now the perfect on the go one year old! I have loved getting to know this family and their sweet and funny mommy. They are great kiddos and so much fun. They are so good together and took care of little sister…Why can’t my kiddos do that?!!? Kara loved being IN stuff, like the suitcase, but loved crawling out even more
Benton was such cutie and didn’t seem to mind sitting and posing his sisters one bit!

And one of stunning big sister, Kylee- LOVE THOSE FRECKLES!!!!

Paula and Andy were married on New Year’s Eve- what a fantastic evening! I couldn’t be happier for them
P, I love you so much and am so glad you found the love of your life in Andy. I have never seen you happier.
I was so honored Paula asked me to do her bridal portraits. We had a great afternoon laughing and just having fun. I have known P for 11 years now…yes, I did have to do the math and I cannot believe it has been that long…old…I am rambling. When I saw her all dressed in the gown ready for pictures I couldn’t help but tear up. She was stunning. Knowing P for as long as I have I knew she would not be into some of the poses I was going to ask her to do. I did get a lot of “uhm…NO” ’s but she was a good sport and I think she really liked ones that she fussed about. Paula has the gift of knowing when a camera is pointed anywhere near her and that sweet smile comes out right away. I dare anyone to get a candid shot of her- LOL. I didn’t want to share these until after the wedding, so without further ado, here is my gorgeous friend Mrs. Paula Draughn!

Ok, I was in shock when I found out I was one of the 45 photographers who would get to participate in the Matilda Jane Photo Love contest. Everyone would be receiving the same dress to photograph and put their own spin on it. I really had fun trying something new and it turned into a mommy daughter day that I don’t’ think we would have normally had and I know we both will treasure- that is most important, right? Since I was competing with some photographers that I really admire, I tried not to get my hopes up toooo much
Last night I found out I was in the top 9! I am so thankful to all that voted for me!
So here is the part where I ask you to vote one more time for me – LOL. If you would take 30 secs and vote for my image I would be so grateful. Just click here- http://www.matildajaneclothing.com/v…ct.php?ID=1507
add to bag and hit submit TWICE. If you don’t hit it again on the confirmation page the vote won’t count. One vote per IP address so you can vote on your iphone or 3G phone – LOL! Thank you so much!
Voting ends Wednesday at 11 pm Central!
Here is an image that didn’t submit

First, I must say that I was truly shocked and honored to be chosen to participate in this contest. When I saw my name among some of those awesome photographers, I gasped so loud I think I scared my husband! Everyone received the same beautiful dress and we all got to photograph it in our own way. So cool to see each persons take! I had a great time with this and Riley and I had some super mother/daughter time exploring Austin to get the shot I wanted
While I don’t have the same following as some of the greats in this contest, I would LOVE it if you would take just a second to vote for my image on the Matilda Jane Blog- http://matildajane.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Voting will be up tonight- THANKS!!!!
So, here is my image:

First off, this girl is drop dead gorgeous, right? I cannot believe she is getting ready to graduate. I used to babysit her when she was just a tiny baby- was it really that long ago?!?! OK, I feel ancient now. Back to Carly- She has grown into a sweet, smart, beautiful young woman. What parent wouldn’t be proud?!? I had a great time during this shoot, just talking to her and getting to see her. I had a hard time trying to pick which ones to blog- I love so many of them. I mean, of course every picture of her came out fabulous- how could it not?
Bella had to get in on the action, too of course. Can’t wait until part 2- the outdoor urban shoot.

Oh, how I love babies! This little girlie was one month old and wasn’t interested in taking a nap at first. Everything was just too new and exciting! Wouldn’t you know that she slept a a good long stretch the night before too. Mommy has been very lucky in the sleep department! When mine were this age sleeping long stretches…not so much! So she did all her shots wide awake, ate a bunch- this modeling is HARD WORK, and then once in the basket, started to get verrrrryyy sleeeepppy. Mommy had the magic touch and she was finally out like a light. I am sure at one month she did not appreciate me posing her while she napped, btu she did a greeat job. And took a nap in the car and is STILL sleeping good at night for mommy. What an angel baby

If you are looking for something unique, gorgeous and full of color for your daughter’s photo shoot, you MUST check out GenMarie ! Christine’s feminine and funky designs and fabrics are sure to make your princess a standout! She is just so talented. We are BIG fans, so when we were asked to photograph some of the pieces for the website, we jumped at the chance. All of the designs in the Hodgepodge collection are amazing- Christine really put together an incredible line. The Hudson dress…wow! Love the ruffle goes around the neckline and down the front of the dress. When your little one loves what she is wearing and doesn’t want to take it off, you know you have a winner

what a happy baby!
omigoodness! She is super cute!!!!
